December plays host to National Special Education Day. Celebrate the special children in your life by learning your rights and responsibilities under the Individual with Disabilities Educational Act (IDEA). This workshop will include information to help you make informed decisions on Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and how to effectively advocate for children with special needs. Trained staff from the Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) will lead this informative workshop that is open to all parents, teachers, and community members. Registration recommended to ensure adequate materials for all participants. Please feel free to bring a sack lunch as workshop runs into the lunch hour.
