The Village of Winfield

Winfield is a fast growing, yet small, town community nestled between the towns of Wheaton and West Chicago in western DuPage county, 35 miles west of the city of Chicago. The village of 9,080 has retained its small friendly atmosphere in spite of the rapid growth surrounding it. The village is bordered on the north and west by the DuPage Forest Preserve, and to the south by the Robert McCormick Museum, Cantigny 1st Division Museum and Cantigny Golf and Tennis. The DuPage County Government Center and DuPage County Fair Grounds make up the eastern border.

Winfield is a mixture of mature single family homes and new housing developments. Several condominium units add to the diversity of the housing.

The small town atmosphere appeals to many young families as well as to the retired. The community is served by the three school districts of Winfield, West Chicago and Wheaton, and is home to St. John the Baptist School. The Park Districts of Winfield, Wheaton, West Chicago and Carol Stream, as well as many area churches and organizations provide quality programs and support for all families.
